lag effect is doubled when planes are converging..........OK they were not in pure convergence but the net effect was convergence.
If you imagine you were both towing targets then the length of rope to the target is directly proportional to the total lag between your FE's. You can only see his target and your plane...he can only see your target and his plane.
In the view from his cockpit in your film imagine he is twenty meteres closer to your plane (thru his turn) and looking at a target twenty meteres behind you. He has lead guns on you.
Then he fires and bullets travel and get hits your wing. His FE then has to communicate via the server (to your FE) the hits on your wing...(HTC also has some checking coad here buts its infinitesimal re delay) your FE then takes the hit damage and calculates the damage result this all adds some more lag before you hear the rounds hitting you and the wing falls off some distance (on your FE) after you separated.
The faster both AC are travelling and the longer the apparent range of the snap shot the worse the effect gets..........but then you know all this.
