HiTech has said himself that he would like to introduce player controlled infantry into the game.  Are you going to tell him to go play CoD as well?

The aspect I appreciate about AH is it's focus upon vehicles/aircraft/boats etc. adding infantry would (IMO) only be beneficial if it was AI orientated a bit like our capture troops are now.

E.g

HTC could add AI sappers that could be released from our m3's and targetted at stuff. ( look thru binoculars and "fire" the sappers at the selected target) 3 teams of 2 per M3
HTC could add AI mortar  teams that could be set from our m3's and targetted at stuff. ( look thru binoculars and "fire" the mortar barrage at the selected target) 3 teams of 2 per M3
HTC could add AI guards (with .303's and # rounds) that could be left in place ( much as we drop supplies now) they fire at any enemy passing within range. 10 per M3
HTC could add AI mg teams (with .303 mg's and # rounds) that could be left in place ( much as we drop supplies now) they fire at any enemy passing within range. 2 teams of 2 per M3.

Each player is allowed one set of infantry in the field at a time.

Some gameplay re balancing may be required around town capture conditions.

First Person Shooters seem to be very popular these days, and with the skrinking populations in the arenas a little help couldn't hurt. My proposal is for you, the player, to be able to fight as a soldier. Attacking soldiers would be brought in on M3s and C-47s and defending soldiers could spawn right in the map room(once the barracks are destroyed they would stop of course). The very first gun that I think should be added is the Thompson SMG, the round is already made and you could simply photoshop a thompson Image over the .45.

But this is a flight sim, not Modern Warfare...

That would be so incredibly awesome !  I can't wait for that.  Then maybe we could have little farms with farmers and tractors and cows because after all those guys gotta eat.  It would be so cool to log on and plow the fields for 5 to 6 hours.  And how about hookers ?  The contributed to the war effort, little houses of ill repute, so awesome.  And mechanics !  How bout playing as one of them ?  Spiffy uniform, carrying a wrench, changing the oil, so very very awesome.  And how about the guy that refuels the planes ?  It would be so cool to stand there at the rearming pad, watching all the pilots fly around, waiting for one of them to land and give you a kind word while you fill em up with high test.  Maybe share a stick of gum, so incredibly awesome !

Aces High, just grab a plane and go fly maybe.

GOod idea.  We might be able to bring over some fresh blood from Farmville.  I'd also suggest trying to cross over into Mafia Wars territory since so many play that too.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

Wouldn't all the infantry prefer to be in tanks?
