Google may be bad and evil, but my Nexus S is carrier unlocked out of the box, does not need a computer, an email to get activated and make a damn phone call. I can modify it as I please, use the store without a credit card. I can use its 12gb of memory as USB key, I can use it as a modem for other devices via wifi or usb tethering. I don't need an itunes account and the crappy intrusive itunes software to manage it.
It does everything and more that what an iphone do, for a fraction of the price. All of this has finally emerged from the fog apple is trying to lay in the consumer minds, that's why Apple is now going full berserk and do everything they can to stop it, without having to actually make better hardware.
All Apple is trying to do is regain market share, without creating something new (they admitted copying everything they had before apple had any hype). And they are the one "innovating"...they sure are innovating on lawyer farms. Shame on them.
