Don't worry... you won't.  Most folks here are not into arcade gaming that much.

AvA does get used, albeit not at the level of the MA. We have a setup starting next week that includes a Tuesday night battle and you can definitely grab a tank and participate.

shuffler the only arcade thing about it is using your mouse and pointing and clicking on tanks and hoping you hit them

Actually there is a lot of "arcade" things in WoT, like the physics that the whole game is wrapped in.  Even the developers fully acknowledge that their game isn't a "sim" by any stretch of the imagination, even going as far as releasing videos making fun of people thinking WoT is any kind of sim.

WOT offers a better sense of immersion through realistic graphics.  It is only a first person shooter in a tank.  It does get the heart racing and well this game not so much as it is spawn, shoot then die / camp.  Would be nice to get a slight rush to this game through gv's. A new strategy role or objective for gv's would be really nice.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

you missed out! the Winter Sky, Death Ground scenario in April/May had the most intense tank battle i've ever experienced in frame 3. tanks by the dozens were running almost parralel to each other along a river, until we reached a massive city strat, launching some very fast-paced urban combat. this game has some great moments

That normally take half an hour to get to and therein lies a problem.

It's actually why I stopped GVing all together. I was either in a spawn camped position, driving half my time there only to get killed by a camper etc.
Like, ya know, when that thing that makes you move, it has pistons and things, When your thingamajigy is providing power, you do not hear other peoples thingamajig when they are providing power.

my only point is that the terrains  and the tanks alone the inside of the tanks would have to be done up by Htc I'm not saying set it up like they have it in wot  just saying look at the arenas texture
and the tanks not the game play

In many games you are in a closed room. Like Call of Duty and others you have a limited area to operate. That makes rendering terrain using much less resources. In AH the arena is hundreds of miles across. You could drive your GV forever without hitting a border. Hundreds of players are in your "room" and placed in space along with all the terrain.

More concerning than WOT is War Thunder, which is now in beta. I just came to this sim about a year ago from after a decade+ of IL2. While AH may not be the sexiest gal in the room, it works, and is more reliable than many others and is always there. I'm not moving again.
