I have mixed opinions. Overall, I'm still a fan, but I want to go punch the writers some times.
GoodI feel the dialog has improved for the Doctor, and so Matt Smith is roughly equal to David Tennant on screen, but I think that if Tennant had had Smith's dialog, the TV very well might explode from the ensuing epicness. Even with Matt saying the lines, the show is amazing.
Special effects have also continued to improve. I was overjoyed when I saw the weeping angles move for the first time!
Plots are also pretty damn good for the most part. They usually cover some very interesting topics, or concepts. Only a few flops on individual episodes.
BadHis companions need to either be hot, a BA like the doctor (see Capt. Jack), or at the very least, further the plot line with their actions, rather than by being in proximity to The Doctor. Yes, I am saying that the stupid ginger from season 4 should have been jetisoned in the episode "The Doctor's Daughter"
I feel they've taken things way too far in the "
No, I never use guns. No weapons!! Put down that rock, its a weapon!!!!!!!!!" thing, but then they don't follow up on it with all his actions. I mean in "A Good Man Goes to War", he destroyed an entire cyber-fleet just to make a point! First new season, hes yelling at Daleks to go die, shooting at them with guns, the whole nine yards.
I mean, the guy is a soldier for christ's sake, they reference the Time War and how he ended it single handedly in nearly every season.
Also, they use the preception filter as a rough patch job for a plot hole.
"There was litterally a door right there 2 seconds ago!"
"Preception filter. It made you think there was a door there."
"But we walked through the door to get into thi..."
"Its a preception filter, just don't worry about it!!"
And finally:

Winston Churchill can't call the f***ing TARDIS from 1940's London!!!!!
