Remember 9/11

:salute to those who passed on that fateful day. Also those who have died since since defending our freedom, and those who still are to this day.

Where were you?

I was at work and we all gathered down in the printing hall where there was a TV. No more work was done that day.

Sitting at my desk doing some sort of sales report, listening to the radio.  I worked at a chemical company, so after the place was locked down, I headed home to watch the news feed.

i was 11 at the time in 5th grade. i remember it still. when my teacher left class for 10 minutes and came back with a face whiter than a ghost. our whole class wondered what was wrong. she didn't say. she said everything was alright and went on teaching our class... it was 2pm when i finally found out what happened. one of very few moments as a lil kid i remember brighter than day.

and i will never forget it... <S> to the thousands who died that day <S> to the men and women who traveled states and across the country to help new york, the ny police, fire, and emts. and <S> to those fighting in the name of freedom still today.

last but not least. <S> to those who still remember this day 11 years later as many have let it slip into the past already...

Its weird as a bunch of my friends at New York Medical were talking about this same thing couple days ago about how we were all in 6th grade each with different stories.  I didnt find out until I go home at 3pm that day as the school would not tell us other than that something has happened to this country that will change our lives.  One mentioned how she has lived in Manhattan her whole life and her school was evacuated and everyone sent home.  Another had a similar story who was right over the bridge in NJ.

Ill throw in another video of music video dedicated to 9/11

:salute to my fallen countrymen & women.  As one of the first 1,000 troops into Afghanistan, I assure you, we paid those suckers back.

i was pretty young, but remember being in school on a beautiful late summer day on 9/11/01 here in the North East - not one cloud in the sky. Today reminded me a lot of that day...it was eerie.

I took this from another board

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYBhgEm3j7A

Recordings in (almost) sequential order with time stamps. The recordings include that of ATC, the Military, FAA, FBI, Ops Centers, etc. I listened to all 1 hour and 51 minutes of it.
