Early model B-17s would be a great addition.  I remember an FSO a few years back (Too Little Too Late?  :headscratch:)  where we had to use B-17Gs that were required to take 100% fuel and only the 100lb bombs.  :bhead

17F has its place in Aces high, but there are many other aircraft that need to join the game first.
I very much agree with this statement.

As much as I think the He-111 is needed eventualy in this game, it's just not as important of a "major atraction" as the B-17, ...
Sorry Babalonian, but the He-111 is the single most needed bomber in this game. It would be used in EVERY European Theater setup up to 1944. The B-17F would be nice to have for events, but it would see little use in the MA compared to the B-17G.

not ture there devil I do believe it would be used quite a bit since it would be an earlier version with a higher eny thus making it a perk farmer which means the new comers to get alot of points they might want to fly it

The B-17E would be a tab higher ENY, probably 25 ENY vs B-17G being 20 eny, Its defensive armament is still quite nice for its time period as well as bomb load.

B-17F Would probably end up between 20-23Eny

The E model wouldn't quite make 30 eny it still has a decent bomb load and excellent defensive firepower for early war - if you want a perk farmer you should fly the Ju-88, with extremely limited guns is the main reason I can see the Ju-88 so high up there along with HE-111 if it gets added.
Actually I think the E model would probably end up perked in Early War arena if not very LOW eny in comparison to other early war bombers.

porbably so there butcher but isn't the lanc perked in midwar???? the only thing with 88 that I have a problem with is the defensive guns I can hit people in the guns out to 1000yds but I can't kill them same with the boston
I love the bombload on a Ju88 I think it is a very decent bombload for only a 2 engined airplane and having a max speed of 298mph when unloaded at 20k

Thats the reason 88s so so high in eny - only 2x 7.9 machine guns protecting it rear upper and twin 7.9s protecting the ventral turret with a single 7.9 in the nose, in comparison to early war bombers - its fast and carries a very good load, defensively its on par with early war designs.

B-17E I believe came around 1942, which is 2 years after the Ju-88 , as much as I want the He-111 - it actually had just as bad defensive firepower, as other German Bombers except For He-177.

Ju188 has a 20mm cannon in the top turret and 13mm guns in other positions.  That seems a distinct upgrade from the Ju88 or He111 in terms of defensive firepower.
