Last time USA defeated the queens navy?

The war of 1812, the brits attacked America in the North Atlantic Sea only because America was helping those suffering in France do to the Brit war with France. I think the American Navy defeated the queens navy....... Do any of you know about the war of 1812?  Tell me more please, cant find much info about it on google

Theodore Roosevelt wrote the definitive book on the subject of the Naval War of 1812. You can find a copy on almost any active duty U.S. Naval ship today...

Technically the US never defeated the Queen's Navy, since they had the same King both times we went to war against each other...
