Not only, DU is used in a many weapons systems, the Phalanx CIWS among other things aswell. And its hurting your own troops aswell as firing these weapons creates fine radioactive dust which of course your troops breath in along with everyone else.

Whats better, getting hit with a cruise missile or breathing radioactive dust?

Ask yourselve, do you want a quick death or die slowly in agony over years and give birth to children with horrible birth defects?

Oh snap your right, the CIWS rounds got changed to Tungsten but till the late 1990s it still used DU ammo.

Major Genaral Adnan Sillu defected from the Syrian Army after being a party to top level talks about using chemical weapons against civilian populations. Anyways, after having a long hard talk with my Berkeley friends, and explaining to them how messed up it is to sit on the side lines n watch civilians be nerve gassed by tyrants, they finally agreed with me that enough is enough n that the USA is obligated to get envolved at a certain point. What got them was the all famous quote, that "do u believe evil exists?" Yes is the answer of course... "And that evil will always exist, right?" Right... "Then if you alone have the power to fight evil, isn't your responcablity." Anyways, with a hint of commen sense, I've been able to overturn most of my nieve hippie friends. Once again, anyways, I've been contemplating how would be the best way to handle this genocide in syria. I'm all for stepping in when is needed. But we have to consider our economy and how many conflict zones we're already involved in. I'm all for stepping in, but to what level? Anways excuse the ranting n misspelling. I'm a little hammered n was discussing this at the bar n need a second, n more educated opinion.

Oh well.   There are people in this Country without work, without food, etc.  That should be the priority.  We're out of Afghanistan in 2014 and need to tend to our own infrastructure for a change.   The Middle East can rot.

You won't be singing the same tune if this spreads out to supply routes or even oil fields, and you're paying $8 a gal at the pump. Worst case of course, but like I said, US government has said it will get involved if Syria uses or shows intent to use chemical weapons

At least read out my thread. I may have been drinking hours ago but my logic was never off. All I'm saying is that the syrian government using chemical weapons against civilian populations is the "red line." Presidents Obamas words...

Satalite images show the transportaion of chem weapons from iraq into syria prior to bush jrs invasion of iraq. Look it up.

Luckily nobody had invented photoshop back then. Oh no they did!

Nobody could find one trace of the alleged massive caches of chemical weapons despite the multiple photo evidence that were shopped by the intelligence agencies :)

Helping the Rebels in Libya and Egypt worked out. So lets go to Syria! We have a few extra Ambassadors to spare.
