It tears me up that I can't commit my Fortress to these scenarios at this time. I'll be ending my account for a bit to focus on other callings. The immersion of the historical fights is what keeps me in AH. Fantastic luck to both sides

My favorite battle moment is hearing somebody call out incoming bandits while machine gun fire chatters in the background. That sends a chill up me every time

I know Krusty, thanks though. Isnt that the reason why we do Scenarios that early? So Euros can play as well?

I have always worked on Saturdays.  Lately I have turned up my output about 5 notches.  Even my boss is like "What has gotten into you lately Rick, I've never seen you this focused and productive...........

I'm not sure what excuse I'm going to give him to get a few Saturdays off, but the truth is just not an option.  I'm going to have to get real creative and then rely on this recent poductivity jump to keep in his good graces.

Thanks.

Alas, the first 2 frames will be without my support due to a cruise to the Bahamas and the Allied may fall during this time, but come week 3 we will be triumphant!

The time is drawing near.  Nothing like taking the heavies to Germany and having to fight the way in and the way out.  It should be an intense and hard fight as the last DGS was.

Just remember to be aware of those times where you find yourself in the cockpit with the radio chatter ringing in your ears.  A bomber slides away with a wing on fire.  A 109 or is it a 190 drops a way minus a wing.  Tracers rip past the cockpit of your Mustang as your wingmen hollers for you to break.  Another 190 cuts below you headed for the bombers and you latch on firing short bursts trying to get hits while driving him down and away from the formation......

It's November 1944 and the last big blow of the Luftwaffe is trying to stem the tide of the ever growing Mighty Eighth Air Force.

Are there 152s?

Large formations of bombers are fighter pilot porn! :devil

Not many here were probably around for it but I think the most immersive scenario I have experienced was Der Grosse Schlag.

watching 190s tear into a mile long bomber stream while being mauled by mustangs and p38s with 109s slashing this way and that.

Contributing to this immersion was the fact that the original DGS had been the largest scenario ever in the history of AH, with about 400 registrants and an average attendance of almost 300 players per frame.  :old:

The Luft could do with some more 109 Pilots Debrody,

However a slight disclaimer that hording, ganging and MUCH running by Ponies is to be expected.    ;)
