Airbus, technologically speaking from a engineering design point of view, will never beat this one though. Their assembly and design is completely different.

Amazing was can happen with aged metal and poor maintenance, yet Boeing Engineering with redundancy designed into their aircraft, can survive just about anything a B-17 could...

I remember when that happened.  I was terrified to fly after it was explained to me that folks were sucked out of the plane.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

Now if you're impressed at Boeing's strong planes.  Look at the stress a Jeep grand cherokee can handle.

To be fair Rip, a helicopter crashed into the Airbus. The Aloha B737 fell apart all on its own. TWA Flight 800, a B747, exploded and crashed into the Atlantic, all on its own. Aircraft disintegrating mid-air for no good reason is not something I'm fond of.

It's a war zone over there, I'm guessing that ATC is not as 'good' as usual...

RIP to the helo crew.

That helo crew was reportedly flying high to avoid ground fire after it made a couple of attack runs on a civilian neighborhood.  Looks like the 'copter pilot should have kept his eyes forward.

There is no such thing as a civilian in a civil war. Personally I side with the rebels, but I'm not going to demonize the government troops for doing their job.
