Something I can say i'm proud of...
« on: September 26, 2012, 05:13:43 PM »
My Arctic Cat F6 had a rough winter last year, with the result of me "cold seizing" her :(.  I just finished rebuilding today! With a D&D 757 big bore kit and it did it all on my own I must add!  :)

old piston:

New pics!

A bit smokey, but thats because its a 2 stroke running a little more oil than normal...just so i cant break in the new motor.

Here is a link to the video...so you can hear it lol

thats a sharp sled I like that design vs the new ones.  how hard are the carbs to clean on one of those? a friend has an 05 f5, that never got started last year so she needs a good cleaning this year, and he is scared o get into the carbs.  any insight would be nice. :salute

Rode my sled 3 times last year. Out of the garage, around the yard, and back in the garage. Not enough snow. :(

Nice sled.  Ya know though, if you would have bought a Polaris you would not have has that problem to begin with.   ;)

I used to own 2 sleds and I miss them dearly.  But, I had to narrow down all my hobbies for sake of family time and the '96 Indy Snail and '98 XCR (700), along with the Sno'lander trailer went bye bye.   :cry

they are very fun to ride. My favorite by far when comparing to jetski, 4wheelin, or a bike.

I like Polaris...just not a fan of the colors really :/ but they seem to be nice sleds and they have been doing great on the oval and snowcross races.

if we are lucky 2 months. If not December, January and February are normally snow filled.

rgr, and about the carb situation... It's not very difficult to clean them, but if your friend isn't sure he can do it on his own take it to a local motorsports place and I'm sure they can do it in an hour or so.
