Idiot

Undeniably lucky though, not to get himself or any of his buddies hurt, the way he was acting
Did you see my dad on dogfights yet?
I'll be seeing you face to face possibly next month.

Is the use of cover not taught nowadays? :headscratch:  I know he says he went out in the open to draw enemy fire so his buddies could move to safety.  I think he's actually a dumbarse who's played to much Call of Duty.  Lucky lucky lucky.

The video says he survived. And needed no medical attention due to no rounds punching through his body armor.

But yeah, standing on the side of a hill while taking fire is not the best place to be.  :bhead

Agreed... I guess this guy wasn't trained to use suppressive fire to allow buddies to move to safety.   :old:

none of you guys were there.    he didnt hide behind a rock and started crying or turn tail and ran the other way.   he did what he thought was best and he lived.  at least he didnt play a hero and shot a guy with one arm and one leg in the back of the head.

Ive been 'accidentally' shot at (I refuse to hunt with that individual ever again) and the sound of a 7mm mag rifle round going 10ft over your head is scary as hell. Enough to contemplate shooting back. I cant imagine people trying to kill me using automatic weapons on a hillside with basically zero cover in sight, no telling how you're going to handle that until it happens to you. I'm glad he did not get hurt but hes gonna need a change of britches.   :uhoh

I simply can not believe anyone calling this guy an idiot. What right do you have to make disparaging comments about a soldier who is showing courage under fire, and and advancing as rounds are literally kicking the dirt up by his feet?

Its disgraceful, because you may have a good k/d ratio on Call of Duty this does not qualify you to comment intelligently on a member of the armed forces in front line combat :bhead

Yeah, it's kinda sad. But I guess we're desensitized what with the war being endless and all that.  :devil

I'll respect the guy for puttin' his butt on the line for sure. Doesn't mean he did the right thing, but I've got no expertise and no knowledge of the situation other than what was presented so I'll refrain from judgement.

Don't they teach fireteam work any more?
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

He was hit 4 times, when he dropped his rifle, it was actually shot out of his hand, and rendered his grenade launcher useless.
