Just read a article in the local newspaper today about a WW2 pilot. Thought some of you would find it interesting.

<S> Henry Lawrence Olson.  Fought for the freedom of strangers from tyranny.

<S> Mr Olson, for the last time you've "broke your earthly bounds."  a shame, my father 79 fought in world war 2 also, from anzio to the mountains of northern Italy, Monte Casino also.  Only spoke of it to me once in my 51 years, and that had to be dragged out of him.  It's truly a "dam" shame that it's taken us this long to determine we have no monument to those who fought in WW2, and an even bigger pity that there are those who are trying to derail a planned monument, 56 years after these heros won the most important of all wars, and kept us a democracy, with freedom for all.
