Not sure what you are really asking for.

The zone strat system was that different complexes only effects some of a countries fields. Bring this back would have the effect of bombing strat becoming less effective, and hence again it would become something not used.

So is it that you want strat different places on the map, or that you wish it to only effect some fields. And what is your real desire in asking for this back. Vissual, less effect, more places to bomb?

I think spreading them back out would make for more fights. Have it still affect the whole country in stead of zone. As it is now you see a big Dar heading out you know where it is going. If the strats were spread back out there could be some surprise added to where that Dar bar was heading.

Did small maps have zone strats?

If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

Technically yes, but each country had only a single zone. So we had the same number of factories on small maps as we do have now, just more dispersed.

That would also be more realistic, as critical factories are scattered around the country in real life. Also the dispersion of the Factories would force a Strat attack to focus on a specific factory, as it was in WW2, where Bombing raids on the Ball Bearing factories, or the Refineries were planned and executed. Now any Strat attack is getting a little of everything, no focus just bomb the strats. Albeit in most cases the current attack is on the City and AA Factory, any serious damage there ensures a much easier Base capture or at least a significantly longer time to accomplish the capture.

BTW 4 minute reduction in downtime from a supply drop is too low.  :D

Yes but  not just for the  points it would be nice for these places to have an effect , I can understas that  the current  strats have a greater  effect, but perhaps figuring some waty yo make base caps even hardewr but to by taking out area targets  around the bases that would make thakeing the base easier migth  give folks to use to old area system. Maybe having guel dummps nearby still up decrease the time that  AA is down,  factories can effect the time of hangers fuel dumps for fuel and vehicles.  Not relaly a fleshed out I dea just throwing it out thre for discussion

What about zone or front based eny?

To me it makes no sense to not have it.

I'd say leave the factories where they are but add depots (fuel, ammo, etc) that resupplies a zone. Have the destruction of a depot affect an airfield, but only on a local level, instead of the entire country.

The depots don't need to be incredibly big, but would make for another target to be defended.

Im not a bomber pilot, therefore im not really looking for more bombing targets.
Only asking for the visual stuff: that city is pretty cool looking, yet i cant see it much. Whats the point of it then? Placing 3-4 cities near the front line (withouth being valuable strat target, or even without ack) would help a lot on the immersion.

Also, off topic, i know, but this would allow some tank action in theese cities. Imagie a tank-town with all those buildings, lets say, in the trinity...   i know, im dreaming big  :)

For the tank-town action to be fair, you'd have to make sure those cities don't have ANY ack that would pummel the teams that don't own the city. I did that for the Canyon terrain that I built for the AvA. Load up a custom arena with that terrain and find the tank-town (two sets of spawns meet near it) and play around in it...GV fights there are fun.

Back on topic, I think spreading the factories across the terrain, but still affect the country as a whole, would be good.

too bad there isn't a way to have a combination of both strat systems...could make things very interesting.

Given the option Debrody, would you prefer rail yards be added first?
