Super Band
« on: October 04, 2012, 07:05:10 PM »
This is something I have thought about for some time now, and I still can't answer it.  I don't know where I got this idea from, but I thought I'd share and get your opinions.  Here's the challenge:

If you could create a "Super" Band consisting of members from past to present, alive or dead, who would you put in your band?

The band must have at least:
Vocalist
Drummer
Bass
Rhythm
Lead

Granted, the vocalist may also be a drummer, guitarist, etc...
This does not limit your band, as you may also include multiple positions, or others like keyboard, etc...

Genre is personal preference.

Let's see what kind of band you guys can come up with.

My band would have to consist of these guys -

Vocalist: Randy Blythe (From Lamb of God)
Drummer: Lyn Jeffs (From Ingested)
Bass: Nick Schendzielos (From JFAC)
Rhythm: Dan Donegan (From Disturbed)
Lead: Jerry Cantrell (From AiC)
Second Bassist: Brent Riggs (Former JFAC bassist)

Genre would have to be a heavy metal/metal kind of thing. Anything heavier and I don't think (Realistically) it'd sound good because Jerry is from a rock/grunge band and Dan is in Nu Metal.

None of these dudes here probably ever hear of Shoegaze..  But I can tell you that I've been listening to Shoegaze since Slowdive came into the scene..  Oh, I don't know 1990 or so?  Before that, the closest thing we had was Joy Division..
