The US and Israel have a love/hate relationship. Most of the time the US helps Israel... because the Israelis are in the right. Sometimes the US helps Egypt or Jordan... When Israel is not so much in the right.

For each year of 1976-2002, Israel was the largest recipient of U.S. military aid. Egypt was second-largest 1981-2002. In 2010 Israel received $2.7 billion in US military aid. Egypt got $1.3 billion and Jordan $303 million.

Egypt has more than a thousand shiny newly-upgraded M1A2 Abrams tanks. The second largest fleet of M1 tanks anywhere... second only to the US of A herself.

Just to add to your paranoia, latest research at MIT shows that wearing a tinfoil hat actually improves brainwave reception instead of protecting against it.  :old:
This is a lie. They just dont want us to protect ourselves properly.   :noid

Hezbollah says it sent drone over Israel

The leader of the Lebanese militant Hezbollah group has claimed responsibility for launching the drone aircraft that entered Israeli airspace earlier this week.

The rare admission Thursday by Hassan Nasrallah raises regional tensions at a sensitive time when the group's backers, Syria and Iran, are under pressure.

Earlier Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hezbollah of launching the drone.

The unmanned aircraft was shot down by Israel, but the infiltration marked a rare breach of Israel's airspace. Hezbollah had been the leading suspect because of its arsenal of sophisticated Iranian weapons and a history of trying to deploy similar aircraft.

The actual quote states "occupied palestine" and not Israel.

However the same quote states "enemy territory."  Could that be construed as actual Israel? But the word Israel was not used.   :headscratch:

Pilot should have used his 20mm gatling cannon. The cost of the missile was worth far more than the drone.  :t

The missile was likely from the Python series which are made in Israel and are perhaps the best IR guided missiles in the world. This will improve its sales netting a profit.

Nasrallah (and also Ahmadinajad) never calls Israel by its name. By "occupied palestine" he means all of Palestine including Israel, not just the "west bank" and Gazza which are referred to as "the Palestinian territories" in western media.

It was a bit weird how close the missile was released though. The plane almost collided to the drone.

According to some reports the first missile fired at the drone missed, but the second hit. An article said the drone was very small and not much of a target for the IR missile. Evidently it was a "Panther" missile, which the article below says is the most advanced used by the military.
