New things to do with planes
« on: October 11, 2012, 02:18:32 AM »
I would like a setting where you can do more with the plane for more realism. Suck as Prop pitch, radiator control and stuff like that. And have as a setting do you can change it to It's original setting and change it to the new setting.

At some point due to it being optional you would hit the off button to be competitive in combat. If instead it was forced on us as the standard, the game would begin self eliminating groups of players, especialy new players reducing subscriptions.

The requirments of SA in the game in multy plane engagements already taxes your mental endurance. The more things you have to remember to fly your fighter will be the separation point that a real life simulator would impose on who really has the right stuff to be an aircraft driver in combat.

In real life not everyone can earn a basic civilian flying ticket. How many of them eventualy become rated to fly aerobatics in a T6 Texan versus feeling accomplished getting safely from one airfeild to another on clear days in a Cessna 150?

Maybe air combat in this game is not your bag of gerbils. The players who enjoy it are usualy too busy engaging against other players to have the time for real life cockpit management chores.

Prop pitch is already in the game.  That is what the RPM control does.

hitech has said many times that this game is concentrated on  simulating combat and not simulating flying an airplane.  or something along those lines.

How about adding a tourniquet for the pilot.   :D
You could tighten it on final approach, since that seems to be a favorite time for him to black out.  :bhead

explains why you thought of something that you would not use once the reality hit you...get shot down a few times because you blew the engine when you didn't adjust something properly and the feature would get turned off.

It would be really nice if there was a company that put out a study-sim esque type sim in an MMO environment, since HTC is obviously not interested in doing it.
Wasn't 1C/Maddox Games/whatever it's called going to do something similar?
