Just too much stuff still needed in the regular arenas..
And the NoKos DID come rolling south with plenty of Soviet made Tanks..
Summer of 1950, opening move of the war.. No way for the Occupation
troops from Japan to stop them.. Crushed everything in their way.. Withdrawing
into the Perimeter at Pusan, behind a river, blowing the bridges, under an umbrella
of concentrated Arty fire, naval gunfire, and 24/7 Airstrikes from USN carriers, and
USAF from Okinawa, was the only thing that prevented a total defeat!
Still, the NoKos managed to make several river crossings, and had to be driven back
into the water, wiped out in hand to hand fighting... They were and are, no pushovers..
