Greed is another survival trait. Those who horde the most food survive winter...

Those who horde the most guns and ammo survive.  :D

Well ask yourself this question - Would you rather burn to death, or freeze to death?

As the title says, we're all strange. None of us truly act normal and I don't understand why. Man considers himself such a big screaming deal individually, and yet we murder our own, we steal from each other and we all (in one way or another) try to exert control over another. I don't understand it, and maybe I don't want to but if any of you have an answer for why we all have to obtain complete control over another, then i'm all ears.

It's called sin.

Google it if you need more info.

You now have enough information and the means to understand.

Whether you accept the answer you find and take the appropriate countermeasure to correct the problem is up to you.

***WARNING***
Your decision can and will have long term consequences.

Humans are not strange. People are people, that has never changed and never will. One of the modern myths we tell ourselves is that we are different to people in the past.

No we're not, maybe we've learned that not all human instincts are desirable. But we are what we are.

As long as we realise that we can progress...........

For a while until we forget and we have  re-learn it all again.

Considering I doubt I will randomly burst into flames, but could freeze to death quite easily, Ill stay down south.  :)

I lived in the desert and the mountains...I like the heat better, but you can always get warmer by fire....you cant always cool off.

I wasn't implying that you'd just randomly burst into flames or freeze randomly (It was more of being trapped in a burning house or trapped in a freezer), I was just asking if you'd rather burn or freeze to death.

We're never different than what we were in the past. In reality we're all still savages looking out for only ourselves and will do anything necessary to assure a continued life - but in the modern world we've come to rely on so many technologies that do the dirty work for us. Once its gone we'll all go back to those savage people we used to be.

As for the realization of progress, it will end one day. It might not be tomorrow or next week but one day it'll come to an end.

The gulf is great for swimming :)

I hate the cold, so that leaves one other option...

life...a cyclic construction and destruction of matter for the purpose of conducting energy.

The destruction or construction could each be the final piece. One making existence fintie, the other prolonging it indefinitely.

Our individual lives suggest construction precedes destruction, which does not bode well for existence in general.

On the other hand our lives as a collective, through reproduction of the species, again provides the confusion as to which is more dominant.

Construction or destruction?

Am i crazy yet?

No?

Then I shall continue.

Everything we do is either constructive or destructive.

Many humans find a balance between the two.

Minorities move towards the extremes creating codependent balance.

Many stars find a balance between the two.

Minorities of stars move towards the extremes creating codependent balance.

Many bacteria find a balance between the two.

etc.

It's all a massive game of electrified, magnetically charged cosmic lego.

One day all the lego will be out of the box and then it will start being put back in the box.

Then when the box becomes entirely full the game restarts.

Apparently.

Trying to make sense of the behaviour of one square or even a small group of squares of the lego is entirely futile.
