Event disco re-up rights (or drone) please!

It is great having the temp drone for discos in MA. It is possible to have the ability to re-up after disco in FSO and other events?
It takes some commitment to get it all together, so getting dumped an letting squaddies down feels like a blow.
Best - Drone for 5 mins. Next best - Able to re-up.

?: Was it an aberration that after disco I re-entered FSO without having to ask permission ('.p [commander] let me in') ???.

We don't lock the arena during FSO, so you can always get back into the arena. During the first 15 minutes of the event, the fields remain open because some players tend to disco when so many planes all spawning together in the same place, and there is no need to ask permission to re-up after a disco (and I would think the reconnect feature would work - we did have it enabled for frames 1 and 2). After 15 minutes, we disable flight for all countries and if you disco you have to ask us to re-enable flight for the country you are flying for. After 30 minutes into the frame (or when people start shooting at each other), we no longer allow anyone to re-up.

The flight reconnect feature, the "temp drone while you get back into the game" apparently does not work when flight is disabled for your country, or it might not be coded to work in the special events arena. I agree that it would be nice if it worked like in the mains.

TY ImADot.  Good info and appreciated. I checked the FSO log and found I was not listed as Disco. I think it was a malfunction at my end ('AH has stopped working') so the reconnect feature could have worked for an actual disco. Very stable here so did not hit my consciousness. Drone/reconnect would cut down on 'let me in's ' and maximise player time. Skewer (Harpi)
