39th FS P-47D-11 skin

Twinboom asked me to create an update for the 39th FS P-47D-11 skin his squad uses. This aircraft was originally skinned by Rogerdee. Lacking a PC he is unable to update his skins at the moment and said it was OK for me to skin a replacement. I've been able to apply the latest bump, specular and environment mapping effects to the skin, which show up well on bare metal aircraft.

This aircraft was flown by the CO of the 39th FS Colonel Lee Grosshuesch in the Phillipines in 1945. Colonel Grosshuesch flew P-47s and later P-51s for the 39th and also the 41st FS from November 1943 until the end of the war scoring 8 kills and sinking a destroyer. He remained in the USAAF post war becoming a staff officer eventually retiring in 1973.
