Software question for skinners
« on: October 15, 2012, 10:03:09 AM »
Well I'm looking to get back into skinning during my down time. On my laptop I'm running GIMP which i love, but i rarely have my laptop with me, its mostly tablet now! So, can anyone recommend an android app to use skinning? Ive found photoshop for android, but the reviews are questionable. Thanks in advance!

As much as tablets want to pretend they are the same as actual PCs, I don't think they compare. Sure, they are very handy! No doubt about that. However I don't know if you'll find a graphics package for a tablet with anywhere near the features of the same package on PC.

I saw the product review video on photoshop.com for photoshop express or whatever it's called. I don't think you can use that. It's just a small ap to edit/tweak cameraphone photos. Crop, rotate, tint, bright. No interface to speak of.

If you like GIMP, did you see the link to the android port somebody did? They state they've already abandoned work on it, but folks seem to say it runs. Not sure how you'd get those small icons with finger presses, but maybe there's a way around it.

Here's the description page:

Here is the download link I think:
