Any Lithuanians here in AH
« on: October 15, 2012, 04:34:45 PM »
Just been doing some family research of my Lithuanian heritage and was wondering if there were any fellow Lithuanians here in AH.

If so would love to trade stories.

Did you see my dad on dogfights yet?

No, I dont think so.  But while in college I did get to know a couple of gals from that part of the world though.  Laysa was from Estonia and Ewa was from Latvia.  They were very beautiful and they did not care for the couple of Russians also attending college, but I think that was by default.  Come to think of it, my Bulgarian friends did not care for the Russians either.

Oh well.

Best of luck in your search for your family history!  It is a lot of fun once you get more pieces of the puzzle together.  Once I learned where the bulk of my family names originated from it was kind of neat looking at the towns thanks to Google Earth, etc.

They're too busy piling together a stock of potatoes for the winter to do something silly like play a video game

I once rented the house I'm sitting in right now to a bunch of Lithuanians. Don't know if that helps. They were really practical. When they asked for a new bed. The one I supplied had a base that was too big to go up the stairs. So they knocked out part of the wall got the bed up and restored the wall perfectly. They also finished the tiling in one of the bathrooms which I never got around too.  :aok On the other hand one of the skydivers I work with is Lithuanian, big blond and a crazy guy. Makes us Irish look like teetotalers. But speaks better English when he's drunk. Don't think he plays AH either.

Not much help I'm afraid.
