WTG RAF

"Due to a technical fault on a radar screen, RAF Spitfires from No.74 Squadron shot down two Hurricanes of No.56 Squadron by mistake on September 6, 1939. At about the same time, ground anti-aircraft fire brought down a Blenheim of No.64 Squadron. One pilot was killed. There were no German aircraft in the area at the time. This was the first time that Spitfires had fired their guns in anger. "
and WTG Germany too :
"On 1st. January, 1945, 'Operation Bodenplatte' was mounted by the German Luftwaffe. Some 800 planes took part for a surprise attack on thirteen British and four American held airfields in Belgium and northern France. On the way there and back around 100 of the German planes were shot down by the Luftwaffe's own batteries of light flak guns. Their officers were not warned of the operation. "
