silver,  2 guys raised their own bids.  one raised his own bid 20 seconds after the first one from 92 to 106 then another increased from 106 to 175.  that doesnt make sense.  i dont think you are going to sell it any anywhere near 200 bucks, I hope you do but I kindda doubt it.

semp

His first bid wasn't high enough. That why there is a delay between bids. I have been watching the bids closely. I'm at $183 but the high bidder with 0 feedback makes me nervous.. even though I've got several emails between us. He wants international shipping. who wants to bet he doesn't pay.

There is probably a reason why many people only ship to lower 48. Probabaly another reason people want verification with less then 3 bids I have seen. Some sellers have, if zero feedback don't bid.

Then if he pays with paypal and then comes back and says it broken after recieving it?

Look up tilldeath in the search, if I remember correct he has had problems. Paypal has taken money back or something. I am not exactly sure, but I remember him saying problems with getting ripped off..

I am not saying this will happen. Could be a honest person.

Yeah, that what I am worried about. I think as long as I cover all my bases and get tracking and delivery confirmations I should be OK. But I am also hoping someone else outbids them so I don't have to worry about it.

And this folks is why I will not give anyone with less than 5 feedback a chance ever again...

"Hiya! Sorry about that i actually completely forgot about this card. Unfortunately its not looking like I will be able to get it some things fell through and i had to buy the card retail and shipped over night. Sorry again. "

So now I get to open a dispute case through ebay to recover my listing fees and relist it all over again.

silver list it here and see if anybody wants it.  other than that I would cap the price at something around 100 bucks.  that is really the true value of it.  anybody bidding more than that is just making sure somebody else's card is going for less.

If time is on your side, try craigslist. Just a thought.

Heya semp,
I am just curious here... why do you think his XFX card's true value is really only $100.00 ?

.have you read this in an article somewhere recently or is this just your opinion/view ?

well I got it from a good source that a used card should be valued around 40% of what the lowest price it sold for.  for example I once sold my mobo with an e8400 cpu and 4 gigs of ram.   I sold it for 190 shipped.  I had just paid almost 500 bucks a year before.  the value of anything is not what you think it is, but what the seller is willing to pay.  I had offered it for 250 plus shipping.  a couple of guys offered me close to it but those deals fell thru.  then the last deal I was offered 150 shipped.  I counter offered for 190 shipped and it was accepted.  I could probably have gotten more if I had waited.  on the other hand I could have gotten zero for it.  since I would rather get 190 than have it sit in my closet and it be worth nothing, i accepted the offer.  I think i got a good deal and so did the buyer as he is an ah player and last I hear he is making good use of it.

the point is you can ask for anything you want, but the value of it is more what the seller is wiling to pay and you are willing to accept.  if the card is worth more to you sitting in your closet then it's your call.  if you are willing to accept less and use that money towards a better card then it's up to you to decide if it if a good deal.

I have 2 evga 465 I paid 280 for the first one and 120 shipped for the second one.  on places like amazon they are worth from 150 to 280 dollars.  the cards are no longer made.  so in my opinion they are worth around 80 bucks each if I wanted to buy them as I can find better cards for 200 bucks that are brand new and faster than what I have.

the card that he is selling is no longer made.  how much he's willing to sell it for is up to him.  but to me I would rather get a decent price that it be worth nothing sitting in my closet.  that is just my opinion.

Easy,
Because thats all he would pay for it. In reality its worth what silver gets if he decides to try and sell again. Personally I think its worth more.
