220.5 mph on a Texas highway.
« on: October 25, 2012, 07:37:20 PM »
As I'm sure you have all heard there is a stretch of Texas highway that now boasts the highest speed limit in the US, 85mph! A couple days ago Txdot and the highway department teamed up to allow a guy named Brian Smith to drive a 1200HP Cadillac CTS-V and a 707HP ZL1 Camaro down part of the highway to test the toll boths at triple digit speeds. He hit 220.5MPH in the Cadillac and 203.9 in the Camaro. Here are the links to each run.

Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

I'll bet they are testing to make sure the toll booths can scan your billing device at speed.
