It was a rugged mission in Frame 3 for The Unforgiven. To bolster the Japanese courage, many of our squad had consumed copious amounts of rice wine, or beer, or tequila and possibly in one case, paint thinner (but he should recover). I led a group of Ki-61's for high cover over the cruiser groups. We had turned back when one of the squad called out (with a sound like Tiny Tim at a brisk) "COMBAT! COMBAT! COMBAT! CORSAIR! F-4U AT 9 O'CLOCK!" I called back "Where? I need grids. Our 9 o'clock is different than yours." To which he replied: "Up under you!" Crud! That will work! I lost count when a squaddie called: "Another 2 dozen Corsairs in out of the sun!" Was exciting! Hope you had fun (and lay off the paint thinner).
