Something I havent heard discussed but wonder about
« on: November 01, 2012, 10:12:42 PM »
Are there bodies of old, disabled homeless people submerged in the underworld of NYC subways? Those who were unaware what was coming and too old or unhealthy to escape the subways once they started to flood?

If so, and they start to decompose and bloat, and rise to the surface, what kind of health issues could arise?

Morbid thought I know, but Im surprised nobody has talked about it that I know of.

Actually, I'm sure the CDC has talked about it in great detail.

Anyway, it's New York. Dead, bloated bodies aren't anything new.

Its the alligators in the sewers that were flooded out that you need to worry about.

In seriousness, I wouldnt think news agencies would cover it due to it being "too grim"

Actually its a cholera epidemic in NYC Im more concerned about. I would think many news agencies would be all over a story like this. Time will tell I guess.

Why would they cover that story?  They refuse to cover Libya.

Or this could be the best thing to happen to NY. Giving it a good wash down may help a bit.

However, I'm not referring to any homeless casualties when I say this.

Who knows with people walking around in the water with all the sewage, and chems  and scratch might become infected,  hell look at Aimee Copeland here in Georgia  that  had her Hands and right leg and left foot amputated from a cut she got zip-lining a tributary of the Chattahoochee. who knows what is floating around in the water of new York.

dead bodies are an issue...and it has been reported..especially the millions of dead rats.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?

Could take from now until about 21 December 2012 for the dead bodies to animate...   I think you are on to something...

Big difference was Katrina's impact was multiplied by the failure of levies that were not maintained properly. The money alocated for their upkeep was diverted to political pockets. The local government failed to evacuate people ahead of the storm. The Governor of Louisiana failed to allow The Feds in for several days. It is against the Law for them to just show up, the Governor must ask for assistance.

The East Coast area Sandy hit has the highest concentration of People per Square Mile in the US.

The Atlantic Ocean could not be stopped in this 100 year storm. I live in NJ and we helped out New Orleans are you doing the same for us?
