Can we please go back to manually changing gears in GVs.

I wish we could go back to manual transmissions.For some reason when im in Panther it takes it forever to get out of 1st gear.Maybe make it optional.

Check your rudder pedals or twisty stick for unintended input. If the controller is giving rudder (turning the vehicle) input, you'll have issues speeding up. Once at a speed, turning is normal, but when you stand still and give rudder the tank will pivot in place and that's why you can't get out of first gear.

I have the gears mapped to a button on my stick and the pedals are using to control movement.  to be honest with you I dont really know what the difference it, you can still manually shift from one gear to the next or go full automatic.

That's why it should be optional. If you ask me the manual system was a lot better than our current auto-gear shifting system.

I would do anything to go back to manual gears. This auto tranny sucks. I like the rest of the changes they made but the auto tranny should have never happened.

Hmm...switching back to manual transmissions will allow me to sneak up on folks again.  Engine on?  HA!  I just need reverse gear and some patience with a spot of luck.

you can just not map any of your joystick for gvs.  using a stick is actually an option, the default is keyboard.
