In my universe you can't get a white collar job with tattoos like that. Hidden or not. And that one can't be even hidden as it goes below the sleeve.

But I guess as far as tattoos go, very cool tattoo indeed.

Must be nice to live in your little close minded world and yes the very bottom would come out of the sleeve but like I said welcome to the 21st century. Care to explain why someone with a tat shouldn't be able to get a white collar job?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEV8A3ZHrx8

I live in a realistic world. A tattoo is not something you'd want your companys representative person to display, they're more associated with gangs, bikers, criminals etc. activities. Funny that you should put that video there as nobody can remove their tattoos just by hiding them in a hat or by simply taking a haircut.

A tattoo is something you choose to live with, good or bad. In most white collar jobs also long hair need not apply, it's simply just like that :) You need to look clean and official. How many businessmen in suits have you seen with long hair or pony tails? :D

Well times are a changing. With the popularity of tats the last cpl decades I don't see that being the case much longer.

You can always hope. I can't see how anyone can be taken seriously if they are covered in tattoos.

Two. Both were criminal defense attorneys.

Well that only goes to prove everything that's in general said about lawyers  :devil

Oh, and lawyers are not considered as 'businessmen' unless they're acting in management with a degree in business law.

(Image removed from quote.)

If I lived in 18th century I might. Today people live by different standards. Would you buy something from Mr. Ben Franklin considering he probably followed the hygiene standards of his day and bathed once a week or less? Stinky fella like that would never EVER pass the first intervew!

Tattoos are commonly associated with criminals, it's really not something anyone who wants to portray a credible image of himself would want to do. If you're a part time biker working at a mill - cool, go ahead. Your friends probably will love it. If you're a sales rep, consultant or a wannabe member of the town fine wine club, your tattoos are going to be frowned upon.

Remember, tattoos are like potato chips - no one has only one    :old:

Well, the looking down on tattoo's is actually a sign of intelligence in a manner (not fully though).

You will find those who have a very high IQ don't like to be branded or limited by someone else's doings or standards (its why they go beyond them).

In a sense, tattoo's are someone else marking their territory on you, even if it not exactly be the tattoo painter themself; the symbolism can't be denied.

the problem is that you live in a different country.  the attitude here in the USA is changing when it comes to tattoos.  they're more accepted as long as you dont do them on your face and you have nekked ladies exposed.

Like it or not it is all about perception.

Attitudes about tattoos are changing here in the US, but I really don't think they are changing that quick in the Corporate World.  Sure there are folks with high profile positions and pay that have long hair and tattoos, but what percentage are they?  I am willing to bet it is not very high.  Times may change, but the bottom line is if you are going for a job in a cooperation and you have long hair and/or exposed tattoo(s), you are taking a chance.

My Opinion
