That is what you think.  :devil
:lol the plan wasn't to sink Tirpitz . . it was to sink sink Tirpitz and all the escorts with her!!!   :t
No matter though because that was one awesome brawl that developed in her vacinity, I never saw her but now believe our flight plan just about put us over her by accident! Did we run into her cap???

4 x Outstanding Axis squads comprised of 43 fliers? .... I'm guessing yes we ran into the CAP.

 :-)

Sir Shifty,

I no longer do real war for a living, but I can assure that bad things happen there too.

Good on you for standing up.

Apology not need, but gladly accepted!

(Next week I hope I have a rudder when KoW slides past me < 50 yds  ... :-) )

Week 2 ... can't wait!

<S> ALL

Thx CMs!

In defense of surfin if he was on the CiC team I can understand his frustration. Just gotta let it go though and do a pm to vent rather than make the custodian look bad.

not accepted or even excusable.

Neither are you for your lack of maturity.

Lets not incite things futher here guys shall we??? Shifty has apologised to the Allies as a whole and to me as CiC for Frame 1. I have accepted his apology and understand that no one can say "Ive never made a mistake." These things will happen from time to time, and its not "what " happens, but "how" you proceed from that point on. Surfinn is entitled to his opinion and to post it here on the BBS. We worked long and hard to  plan our attack and defense, as Im certiain KN did also. I wonder if the shoe were on the other foot and our boats were not in the sectors that the Axis recieved, how many would be on the boards screaming bloody murder. I for one had a great time on Friday, yes it was stressful, yes it was frustrating to have our scouts not find the Tirpitz. We were forced to adapt and so we did. So lets not turn this into a pissing contest of moral firbre or ethics, because as we all know no one wins an Intenet Argument. If these types of posts persist I will be asking for the thread to be locked. Feel free to PM whomever you wish to, but for Gawds sake lets not make it worse on the Boards.

Yes mommy... so you are saying his opinion is valid. but any who contest his are not and should anyone express their own about his then you will have everything shut down? I have not seen anyone attack him personally, only comment on his opinion and what looks like in my opinion, his lack of gamesmanship, or sportsmanship if you will, which seems to be so lacking in today's society.

In defense of surfin if he was on the CiC team I can understand his frustration. Just gotta let it go though and do a pm to vent rather than make the custodian look bad.

If he should have vented through pm why are you defending his actions instead of sending HIM a pm telling him how he should have dealt with it rather than doing what you imply he should have done? His lack of tact is indefensible.

Have a tissue and get over it, is it a game or not? Jeez, are you the only ones that an FSO event didn't go the way it was "written up" in one manner or another? Sometimes I do wonder how old some of the people on here are... and not just in physical years either.

Yes, I could have not posted my thoughts, but so could you and anyone else. Once it is posted, live with the consequences.

Shifty
I wont apologise for my comment, I meant it when I said it. I have had a couple of days to think about it however and I understand what happened. Mistakes happen and I appreciate what you do to put these events together for us and I appreciate your honesty and integrity in your original post. From what I've been told its a lot more difficult than the CIC duty we just pulled. I think its a great event and I look forward to finishing out the frame for this month. Everyone is quick to point out its just a game, while others talk about in real life this is what you get.

This is where I tell ya where I'm coming from and what my investment was to that FSO.
Its no secret that myself and others on the KN side have had a rivalry going for some time. I personally saw this as an opportunity to match wits with a honored foe. I basically laid out the attack plan, and with help and a lot of hours of meetings with squad mates, laid out what we thought was a great plan. I felt like a kid on Christmas eve. I had been looking forward to this event for a long time and was anxious to see how it turned out for better or for worse. I was extremely disappointed to say the least when the Intel was wrong, even though the allies did a great job of overcoming and adapting to the situation. I cant help but feel that commanders of battles have felt the same way through out the ages and I dare say if many of you were on the cic team and got bad Intel you would feel the same way as I did. Its easy to have an opinion that mirrors everyone Else's. Its a lot harder to stand up and say what you mean, especially in this day and age. I can't help to think that this is a positive, and orders will be checked twice before being sent out. :salute to all of you

Wow just wow.

I've enjoyed FSO for many years now (so many I can't remember when I started but it was back in MAG-33 were playing). It's enough for me to keep my sub going even though I rarely play in the MA anymore. And FSO wouldn't exist without the CM's putting in some hard work for free, so out of all these years when one makes a mistake sure I might be a little grumpy initially... but it's not the end of the world. I'm just thankful we have people like Shifty making this happen.

You whinging girls build a bridge and get over it. If you think you can do a better job than the fine FSO team that puts THEIR time into our entertainment then step up to the plate. In the meantime I think we're privileged to have play like Shifty in the game.

I understand where you were coming from Filth, I just wouldn't stand up for a cry baby, whether I know him or not. A whiny bastich deserves his rep and his lumps. Shifty does a hell of a job along with all the rest of the CMs. I will stand up for their integrity any day until proven wrong. This is not about right or wrong, just a pathetic whine about an acknowledged mistake.
