Custom sounds?

Hi folks,

I did a search and found threads from 1999 up to 2001 on this with dead links.
I noticed in VuduVince's excellent tutorial videos that he has different engine, gear and general game sounds than AH comes with when downloaded.
Is there an up to date source and tutorial for custom sounds?

I'd just love to hear a realistic merlin sound track to my Spitfire escapades.
