I think semp and acksack are biased against me.

So we have white smoke for fuel hits, another white smoke for radiators, black for oil.

I would like to see blood pouring out of the plane when pilots get hit, kinda like mortal kombat or Kill Bill.

Id like to see the icon flash as well. Just to make it easier to spot the wounded pilots.

well my 2 cents is that even if there was blood pouring out of the cockpit, you wouldnt be able to see it anyways unless zoomed in on the filmviewer.  and the flashing icon, what is that just for easy kills??  just saying

You can tell many times by where your hit sprites make contact with the aircraft and by watching the aircraft after you hit it. If the guy is manuvering hard either for a shot or to deny a shot and then the aircraft falters or goes straight and level you can usually bet the pilot is wounded and blacked out.

Thank you for an intelligent comment. I was beginning to hope I never become a "plutonium level" anything.  ;)

For a guy with a rod up his tailpipe you can sure make that 38J dance.

If only your sense of humor had gone to the gym with your ego...  it was a joke, and the visual is pretty entertaining.

Bingo.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

You call that a joke? I suppose you would laugh if someone started coughing up blood too.

One of the reasons I play these games is so that I don't have to see the kind of gruesome stuff I would see if the fighting was real. What is so fascinating about that crap anyway?

Aces High 2 has enough larakin laughs in it, and enough chaos in it to make anyone laugh. Besides. If you pilot wounded him... you suck. Cause if you get the chance for a cockpit shot you should take it properly

Actually, I would imagine that if you are playing this game so you don't have to see gruesome stuff you're doing it wrong.

Now hold on a second. I don't think it's the dumbest thing I've heard. OK the blood pouring out of the plane is not the way to do it, BUT external visual indication of a pilot wound would be an idea I would support.

Perhaps just a red platter on the cockpit glass, of cracked or bloken glass as an indication you scored a Pilot hit.

Most fights never get that close for the other to see the one's cockpit. Heck, I can't even see the pilot inside 99% of the time.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I vote no.  Having an "indicator" to tell opposing fighters of a PW only makes it more gamey.  Heck, I'd like to see a generic icon for everything over 1000 yards (as simple as 1,2,4 for the # of eng), then have the icon show the plane make under 1000 but no model (a simple 190, P51, P40, 109, Spit, etc).  Too much is already given in AH.  The fog of war is as minute as it can be.
