I never said anything about newbies.  And the A6M2 is one ping from a Viking funeral.

Honestly, it isn't that flammable.  I've been hit by many a 20mm round in the A6M series and not burst into fire. Besides, the newbie in the Fw190A-5 will likely never get that ping.  FYI, an "average" player in AH is a newbie.  Per Lusche's numbers the average player gets something like 1 kill for every 3 or 4 deaths, IIRC.

Try taking two average players in A5s and have them tag team a lower Spit V, then see how long the Spit lasts.  Then try the same, but with two Spits versus a lower A5.  The lone Spit V would last much longer than the lone A5 (if the A5 couldn't run).  The Seafire is currently at 15 ENY, yet the somewhat comparable Spit V can't be dropped from 30 to 25?

Laughable is having the Ki-84 at 20 ENY, while the Spit VIII is 10 ENY.

The Spit V is at best a knife fighter.  The 190A-5 is far more versatile (bomber hunter/interceptor, escort, high alt fighter, jabo), but yes in a low level knife fight it will probably lose to the Spit V.

Really depends on if we want it to be performance based alone, or useage based.

For performanced based, here is what I would do:

A6M5: 25 (face it, its simply not on-par with fighters like the Ki-84, 109K, etc. Even putting it at the same level as the 190A-5 and G-14 is quite a strech)
109K: 18
B-239: 25
110G: 23
F4U-1: 23
190F-8: 30 (based on current ordnance packages. Would be dropped to 28 or even 25 if those were expanded)
Hurricane IIC: 10
Hurricane IID: 30
La-5FN: 20
La-7: 5
Me 163: 4
Me 262: 3
Me 410: 25
Mossie: 25-27
P-38J: 15
P-38L: 13
P-47D40: 15
Seafire: 20
Ta-152: 15
Typhoon: 12
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.
