Leave them unperked on bombers AND ground-attack planes.

Fw 190 isn't much without the 500kg egg, and unless we get the 2 (or 3, we're still not sure) 250kg racks installed, it won't be much under such an ordnance system.

P-47 is also one that should carry heavy ordnance, and maybe the Typhoon (not sure if it was used more as a fighter or attack aircraft).

What is the end goal here?  To slow down base porks/takes?

If people want to lug heavy bombs, why not let them?

Increased diversity through diversifying what the best choice for a given task is.  When the best choice for a role is "P-51D" in many cases that limits the use of other aircraft.  By making the P-51D pay a perk price for 1000lb bombs, or even making all fighters or even all aircraft pay perks for 1000lb or larger bombs, you potentially change the best choice for a strike aircraft from "P-51D" to, perhaps, P-47N or P-38L or A-20G or Bf110G-2.

This dosen't violate the basic principle of this game.

Equal ability to wage war at all times.

It limits all players across the board equaly from the 1000lb bomb, while recognising the wants of some to use the 1000lb bomb with fighters by assigning a perk cost.

For it to work the perk cost has to be high and not tied to any existing perk bank so the limitation takes emidiate effect. Logicly a "perked ords" bank and earning venue will have to be created. The simpelest would be a subset of "Attack Mode" tied to the destruction of objects visa bombs and rockets.

But, points earned would have to be in very small numbers aggregated over time by many attack sortie to gain the coveted pair of 1000lb bombs like earning a 262. Use of the 1000lb bombs should deplete the perk bank and not count towards refilling the bank account. The bank account should be arena specific. Otherwise late night milk running with 1000lb bombs to rapidly fill the perk account would become the finess around the perk cost limitation.

Some questions come to mind.

Is this an effort to reduce the smash and grab ability of P51D missions to give defenders a better opportunity of stopping the mission?

Is this an attempt to make bombers the primary destroyer of fields?

Is this an attempt to modify the use of all 1000lb capable fighters as the primary BombTruck for missions?

Is this an attempt to make it harder to stop GV assaults or clear out spawn campers?

Has anyone considered how slower it will become to win maps becasue fields will take longer to close down?

To head off the ENY moral equivalency arguments against this becasue ENY limits players access to their favorite low ENY rides unequaly. HTC made an executive decision that greater numbers with higher ENY rides even out lesser numbers with low ENY rides. It's not perfict and there have been more than a few P51D hoards that seemed unnatural to the spirit of what ENY is supposed to moderate. Maybe this OP is trying to address that.

Personally, I feel like whether it inhibits an idividual's capability to wage war is rather irrelevent anyway; its not equal to begin with, simply because people are at different skill levels.

And again, I think a select few non-bomber aircraft should retain the ability to use the 1000lb bombs uninhibited.
