Numbers built: A lot
Performance: In practical terms, not really any better than the plane it replaced, the Dauntless, in any important way
Effectiveness: Hated by its pilots, had a lot of problems, and was obsolete by the time it made the fleet; aircraft like the Corsair could dive bomb just as well and were more survivable; it arrived at the end of the divebomber era.
