Defense against the B24s?
In your wright-up on page one you mention B-24's hitting Sicily.
Spoiling raids upon Axis airfields on Sicily were laid on with strike aircraft from Malta and Liberators from the Middle East.
Granted, the numbers of 24's will probably also be small - around 6 sets I imagine. These bombers represent a significant problem for 109's with a single 20mm cannon. It was precisely this problem that prompted the creation of the R-6 gondola kit, and they were readily available during the timeframe for this scenario.
Ignoring this issue would result in many lost 109's and few, if any, 24's destroyed. The amount of 109F's needed to properly deal with the Liberator would be so great that if they were used that way, there would not be enough fighters available for other tasks. It may be worth while to ignore the 24's completely depending on the point value of the ground objects. If the object value is too high, then the Axis CO is caught in a "catch 22", forcing to spread assets so thin that no objective could be realistically completed. Thus this is a gross imbalance beyond just plane vs. plane.
Just some food for thought.
