Well.

Attendance is the key, as we saw with DGS II we had full rosters going into the event and that was gone when the frames started. My entire unit disbanded and had to be rolled into JG/26. Even with that we had trouble filling 8 slots in one of the most famous Luftwaffe units. Not to mention the 16 slots we were alotted.

So I think we should have the main historical units inthe represented and have each side break them up into squadrons......

Just a thought

Could you elaborate on that?  And give size examples..

Sure,

for example; JG/53 was the main Bf109 Unit in Sicily. That is an entire JagdGeshwader. That is roughly 192 aircraft.

What is the max turnout for a single side during a scenario event?

Is the Spring turnout larger then the summer one?

So, you as the writer tell me that I have JG/53 for fighters. OK I have 60 guys sign up to play. I break them up into 5 Stafflen with 3 GL (Gruppen) On Frame 1 day I have 40 show up... I have to roll the other Gruppen into Priority Stafflen to meet objectives.

Look at the Bomb groups turn out. We, or I just need to be fluid so we can adjust for turnout.

I realize I am being on the pessamistic side of things but I do not want to have a Gruppen with 4 pilots and 2 of them being walk-ons. Does that make sense?

Then there is the JU-88 situation, ohhhh  boy. I like the 1 life in the Stuka and one in the 88 idea. But we are going to have to find bomber crews and units for them. Also the Italians had the Sparrowhawk bomber?

Just my gears turning.....sorry, If you want to set up a comand forum, I am ok with that. I don't mind discussing this in the open though.

I should know college plans by the time the events start, which will make me feel better about paying $15 a month again.

If my squadron CO will let me, and you need me to, I'll fly as a bomber. I may not be worth a whole lot as a fighter stick after close to a year and a half away from the game, but bombing is pretty easy, and in a Ju-87, what I aim at, I hit.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Ditto,

A few scenarios ago I signed up to fly Spit XVI's (obviously Allied).  It turned out the Spit XVI's were dropped and I was assigned a Spit XIV.  Then the first frame only two of us showed up.  We weren't reassigned, we just went out and did what we could with two of us.  I don't think we ever got over four in a frame (the others were all walk-on's IIRC) and again, IIRC, our GL never made a single frame.

The point is I guess you just gotta roll with the punches.

As to the JU-87/JU-88 thing.  A sortie in one of each would be a turn-off to me (who may want to fly a JU-87).  I don't know how the map is laid out or what the flight times are but if it was me I'd rather have two or three lives in the Ju-87.

That said I haven't even decided if I'll participate or not and if I do which side I'll fly for so take it for what it's worth.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I don't do level bombing but I'd love to roll in a Stuka for this one.
