Carbon fiber reinforced Trees and bushes
« on: November 12, 2012, 04:10:58 PM »
How about we take some of these "30 ton tank stoppin n rollin over" trees and be forced to drop down to 1st gear to crush them and roll over them, what a great sound for 2 reasons,
1 branches and twigs breaking and snapping would sound awesome!!
2 it will help locate that nme con before you hear the engines. (or them finding you)

Whaddaya mean carbon fibre? Those trees are made of flubber!
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Destructible trees isn't possible due to technical limitations.  Basically there are too many trees to track their destructed state and relay it to player's systems.

If you want to drive tanks through trees/ building you best look at Wot. They have a very small field and low number of player in each area. Even a D3A would shoot across a WoT map in under 30secs. In AH a D3A can spend over 2 hours in flight and not find the other side of some maps.

If you did try to make a map with Wots style to AH scale it would most likely not run on anything but a supercomputer & good luck getting all that data flowing over the net.

I don't want to run those trees over, I want to glue them to my plane.  I am invincible!  :lol
