TD Computer System Review
« on: November 14, 2012, 11:15:22 AM »
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.  It has turned out to be a very miserable experience for me and I seriously regret it.

I am sorry you feel that way.  You made the choice and took it upon yourself to order new video cards rather than wait on the RMA from the manufacturer.  The option to return the system at my expense for repair or replacement was given to you, you choose to make your own purchase.  I hope you have good luck selling the New card I sent you still in the box.

TD,
That is not the way it went down.  You told me it would be 4 weeks to get the cards I had ordered as there was none in country.  Guess what, New Egg had them on my doorstep the next day.  Further, I sent both the damaged cards to you.  You said you would sell them and cover any difference in cost.  How about that card that you sold to Scott?  Where is that money?  How about the $160 difference in that other card you sent me?  Am I supposed to eat that too?

This is principle now Rich, and I will follow it to the end of the Earth.  See ya in the courtroom in the near future.

that is where you should have kept your issue to begin with, not here...

The initial point was to let others know I was unhappy with the decision to use his service.  Something, that as Ink pointed out, several others have echoed as well.  He chose to bring specifics, I simply replied.

just an fyi, still not appropriate...and like disgruntled walmart shoppers, you're in the minority. if you were to seriously examine your expectations versus the outcome you would probably find that the entire issue could have been handled better and resolved to everyone's satisfaction without any of the nonsense that has ensued.

TD Systems has built me two systems and setup two laptops for me.  I have had nothing but exceptional service.  I guess I am not one of the others.

I can tell you TD goes all out. I bought a case from him and he even followed up on that. Of the two complaints I have heard both had one thing in common, they didn't listen to TD. Well one was not even TD's fault, the delivery company literally trashed the computer upon return. Also TD did something I bet he will never do again. He went out of his way and overclocked the computer for the buyer at his own expense and time. Then got blasted because the next computer, after the one that was trashed, wasn't overclocked even though the guy never paid for it.

I feel for you TD. Customers can be tough. However most are very appreciative from what I've read.

I have bought parts from TD.  when my power supply went out and it was still under warranty, I contacted the manufacturer when they asked me for the receipt, I thought I was out of luck as I didnt keep it.  I was about to buy another power supply when I decided to call TD.  he emailed me a copy of the receipt, contacted the manufacturer, and next day i got an email from the manufacturer asking me to pick up my new power supply.

now that's customer service.

I know both parties involved.  I have only good things to say about TD computer system.  I went with TD and every single one of his suggestions when it comes to gaming PCs has been spot on. I do also know that there are more way way way more completely satisfied customers with TD computer systems vs the 2 or 3 dissatisfied customers.

What really stinks is the negative comments always get more traction than the positive ones, and that can cause damages to someone's business.  My comments may seem biased towards Rich from TD computer systems and that's because we formed a friendship after my 1st purchase of a gaming computer. I also have now bought 3 more systems from him, and locally  sent him to a few friends and businesses where they ended up doing business with him and are also quite pleased with his services.

This for me ends like an ugly divorce when have no choice but to pick a side...

I recently purchased a new system from TD going strictly on his recommendations, and I couldn't be happier. He has given me nothing but 100% support. Best to always listen to the pros.

I had no trouble with the system I purchased from TD and I am still using the same system. I asked him for a machine I would not have to upgrade for years. I did have one ram stick go bad and Rich helped me with the RMA as well.

I know some people have had bad experiences with TD (including a dear friend), but I would buy from him again, in fact I will probably do so again in the near future.

My experience has been good. I never actually bought a computer from him, but he got me a couple deals on some parts for my build (pre-mobo-fried-days), helped me pick out some parts, and troubleshooted with me for weeks until I found out that my Mobo was DOA, all of this without any extra money for customer support, just a flat fee for the parts.

I guess we will never know the true issue since there are conflicting stories, but it is sad that 1 bad experience can outweigh many good ones.

:aok

He also built one for me.  Rick went the extra mile.  I'm thrilled with all aspects of our interactions.
