Il-2 Cliffs of Dover
« on: November 16, 2012, 08:42:50 AM »
I know, the game had terrible bugs at release, but I'm getting rather bored of AH (again), and was wondering if the bugs are fixed by now? And if it's worth paying for.

Any other flight sims suggestions would be cool too.
I tried DCS:A10, with a QuadCore Q9550 and Radeon 6870, I can't even get it to go past 25-30 FPS on low settings. Wasted my money. :(
I enjoyed Rise of Flight, can run it on mix of high and med settings at 50-60fps but the fact that you can't save in singeplayer or respawn (don't really want to turn invulnerability on), makes a PITA to play.
Wings of Prey I enjoyed a lot as well, 130 hours on Steam but I'm looking for a more realistic sim than an arcade one right now.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I agree, and I think sushi is the best food ever. But I don't want to have to eat sushi for breakfast lunch and dinner either :).

Need something new and fun.

I tried it in online though your ammo replenishes by itself. What I mean is after you shot all your ammo 20 seonds later its back to full load.

well, il2 wrapped in any flavor isn't exactly a good choice for either "new" or "fun"...but hey, if it creams your twinkie, do it.

Il2 Cliffs of Dover is an excellent game now. However the learning curve is also like the cliffs of Dover, pretty damn vertical.

Here's a Spanish online squad running a convoy attack in 110C-7s:

The visuals in this game is superb.

A little lacking in variety, but damn fine.

Still needs a super computer to run it though.
