You can fly just using your finger tips, in use with one of those moving cradles you sit in, it would be very good

I have started at the other end namely a more ergonomic handle and switchgear, inspired by the lack of ergonomics in the CH stick. I haven't decided yet whether to mount it on the floor with a long stick or attached to my chair as a side-stick.

Very interesting to hear about the fidelity of control though. Do you find that you can still make some of the more extreme inputs that you did when the stick was short Batfink?

I will have to wait a bit longer before making any judgements Shida, I am still learning to use pedals after 15 years of flight sims on a twisty.
I would say it is a bit harder using the long stick mainly because I have to move around physically a bit more. It's now a movement of the shoulder and elbow more than just a flick of the wrist.
On the positive side the control fidelity is very high. Now that I'm getting the hang of it the fine control and overall smoothness is far greater than a short stick. Like FLS says, it's just like having a ramped up scaling.
Twin throttles would make my mossie very happy.

That looks good, which stick was it originally? An x52?

This stick never had FF, that why I've added the rubber to somewhat make it feel under tension.

I've also now made a base plate in a T-shape to lock the stick tot he floor and also to accommodate the pedals. this have improved things twofold.

It was originally a Tamiya M113 model, a cheap aluminium bicycle handlebar from the market, two packs of cork drinks coasters and a piece of an old hard drive. It's all scratch built

I see from your video, that in deference to Zack you have replicated the "stains of dubious origin" on his strides and the errant toe protruding from a well used happy sock.

Stick looks top btw but why not use the pedals as brakes, seems counter intuitive to use them as switches for clipboard etc

I didnt explain very well Danny. They are used as brakes for the analog function of then but if you depress them to 100% (I would only ever need to brake to about 60% or the plane begins to tip nse down anyhow) then they have a button input type function. So I get to use them as brakes and as buttons at the same time.
