.Downtime Update
« on: November 24, 2012, 08:46:02 PM »
Update the .dt command to not only show what is down, but what is up for that object as well.

If all the objects (fighter hangar example) are showing living it will respond:
HOST:  Objects fXXXfth 0 - 002 are all living.

If one object (fighter hangar example) is down it will show:
HOST:  FXXXfth000 has 14.0 minutes remaining.

It doesn't say whether or not fth001 or fth002 are living or down.

While it is easy to know that the other two hangars are still up on a small airfield (since everyone knows there are only 3 fighter hangars total), when utilizing this command for hangars at a large airfield, or guns at pretty much any field, you have to count one by one and actually know the total of each object on the field, and then do the math to see if any are still up (i.e. missing from the list).  It seems as if the output of this command could be more efficient.

Geez, why not just ask for a detailed map of each base with everything marked, and then have each object red or green to show if it's destroyed or not. I guess gone are the days where you had to actually work a little to gather proper Intel...too bad to, because in my opinion, back not too long ago it was more interesting and added more depth when you had to figure out these kinds of things manually by looking.
My Current Rig:
GigaByte GA-X99-UD4 Mobo w/ 16Gb RAM
Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit
NVidia GTX 970 4Gb ACX 2.0
Track IR, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Pedals

:bhead  Then remove the downtime command completely.  It should either be consistent or non-existent.

You already have this functionality to show what is up and what is not from the Arena Setup GUI.

Downtime is not meant to show what is up and what is not, it is meant to show the DOWN TIMES of objects that are destroyed. I.E. it is already 100% complete.

I think the wish is to know (from one dot command) what(exactly) is up and what is down............... ie. which two of the three FH's are down (and for how long) so the bomber can target the third  or hold off to kill em all fresh in a few minutes............. or indeed time his return run to the town to milk the "high pointage square" appropriately.

IMO this dot command should only work for freindly objects anyway intel awarded opposing sides directly to the players cockpit is becoming somewhat over extensive ...........
