So with us CH control manager do you still need a USB hub?

Sax yes.  Make sure it is a powered HUB.

I have seen where people have suggested to use a "External powered USB Hub"  if you are using CH Product devices........

personally, I have never had to use one to get my CH Products to work properly......... I have always used ASUS Motherboards ( outside of 1 Abit, 2 GIGABYTE and 1 ESC MB in the past )

but ASUS has always seemed to work perfectly fine with my CH Products USB type  Game Controllers

I have posted in the past about this....... regarding that certain MB Manufactuers have better built components verses others.....

even when I have used CH Control Manager , I never needed a ext. powered usb hub

Johnny thanks.  I also always used ASUS Motherboards when building systems.  Always rock solid and when you purchased one you got the complete package with it.  No doubt this ASUS PC has an ASUS mobo....that's why I purchased this one.  However this is the first ASUS Motherboard  I've had using an intell CPU.  The PC is great in game holding a stady 60 framerate in game with everything maxed.   Now.....the sooner I stumble upon Win8 other features, how tos', wheres' it at etc. I'll be much happier.  I still love XP.  Win8 has to go a bit before it impresses me.

All the HTC personal systems are ASUS and the ones using CH gear had to have an externally powered USB hub in order to prevent the USB bus from random resets.

Even when the bus does not reset, there is a bug in the 64 bit version of Windows 7 which causes a flood of 'bus reset' messages when the power levels on the USB bus get too low.

It has nothing to do with the motherboards.  It has everything to do with the USB bus controller chip and the maximum power it is supposed to deliver.  It does not matter if it is Intel, AMD, Via, NVidia or any other chipset as none of them well deliver the maximum amount of power specified for the USB bus.

Personally, I will never use any of the high end sticks from any manufacturer without an externally powered USB hub.  They are cheap insurance.  The longer you draw the maximum amount of power through a USB chip, the more likely you will damage it.  It is the nature of analog devices.
