Being foreign and all that. I fear I miss that 'mathed' is some form of Americanisn. You see here, in potato central, as in Ireland, where potatos is the stable diet, mathed is some form of American thing.
We say 'mashed' with or without gravy. As we're Irish we have covered every possible variation in potato.
Being a true Irishman, the word 'mathed' don't mean a thing.
