I must say that (before they were shut down due to whine) the new clouds were absolutely orgasmic!!!! Sure I lost about 25 FPS however was still playable for my semi-low end system. HD radion 4600/ 4GB Ram/ 2.81ghz processor.

I believe that the clouds add so much more realisim to the game even though they may cause a lot of frustraition to bombers attempting to line up on a target or to pilots who loose the enemy in the clouds only to be greeted with him on your six. I believe they will change game play entirely and I can't wait to see how it turns out :)

+1 for the clouds.

Maybe we could get the Icons to dissapere or decrease with cloud cover? Similar to tanks with engines off or under a tree?

It's mentioned that there are new ways to classify bombs types. (regular, armor peircing, etc..)  I went to the hangar to select bombs but there was no mention of a how to select the bomb type. I assumed there would be. How is the bomb type selected?

Look at the bomb labels in hangar for the various planes.
If I remember correctly, the following planes have some AP/SAP bombs available: SBD, B5N, Stuka, Me 410, D3A.
The 4k 'cookie' is now universally a HC or LC bomb.

Ok. so none of the types are applicable to B-24, B-17, etc...? I thought something about regular, versus Thin casing Larger blast radius, would have bee two types that those might be able to choose between. Perhaps I didn't read it carefully enough. So many distractions here at work..  ;)

G4M1 also has the 800kg AP bomb as an option.

Ah yes, forgot about that one.

But I think it will see much less usage than the old 800kg GP bomb, which was working very well on towns. The only target justifying the 800kg AP would be the CV, but even if you would hit with all 3 bombs, it would still not be sufficient to sink an undamaged carrier.
Lancs, Ju 88s and so on still way more "efficient", even more so if you consider the tendency of the Betty to flame up just by being aimed at ;)
