Very cool..... and with the teardrop gun pkg on top. They had so much trouble with buffeting caused by the swivel gun pkg on the real birds.

They figured that out but I forget what the fix was.

The fix was the stationary guns in a teardrop. Many had the whole thing removed and a fuel tank installed in it's place.

They also reduced it from 4 guns to 2 I believe. P-61B-15 was the 4 .50cal version.

P-61B-15    Turret with four 0.50 in (12.7 mm) machine guns; 153 built.
P-61B-16    Turret armament reduced to two machine guns; six built.
P-61B-20    New General Electric turret with four machine guns; 84 built.

That makes sense. Apparently reducing down to 2 didn't do the trick so a new turret was manufactured to negate the issue.

Good luck. I've attempted to bribe HTC with booze, pizzas, etc since 2000. Ask Pyro. :)

15 years... Is he going to fly it? What if it crashes?!

Was this a kit or was it home built (plans/parts cut by your dad)?
I ask because I want to know how he got the canopy/plastic parts? (did he find someone who made them then design the plans around the scale of those parts?)
Yeah, that's right, you just got your rear handed to you by a fuggly puppet!

Really cool stuff there. It's great your Dad builds them the old school style. What is he using for engines? The one pic looked like a small .40 size or something like that.
