Should We Start Over?

I was away for a while and took name Staka when I came back.
I asked HiTech if I could get my old name back and voila: Got my old handle back but I also lost all my perkpoints I got with other handle (+500). I started collecting them again and that really wasn't a problem for me.
But dont make me doing it again....

My guess is this situation will normalize very soon after releasing perk-planes to game, Prolly takes week or two when we all have spent all our points to dream-planes and need to fly cheap planes again

Thanks thunder.... I will try to restrain from the personal attack on thunder here.  Anyway, to think that these "perk runs" were eventless joyrides is retarded.  Flying a lone ju88 into enemy territory with cons present is not dweebery.  I recall getting shot down many a time.

I also did not do this as a way of "perk farming" and the vast, vast majority of my perks came from shooting down enemy fighters and dropping hangers.

Next time you want to make a point thunder, dont do it at my expense.

Loser,

Only "expense" you had was your last post.

How did they "earn" that right anyway? You "earned" the right to have an unfair advantage?

LOL, yes I did!  I earned the use of a better performing plane by killing planes with my under-performing one.

Life ain't "fair", and neither is air combat.  It shouldn't be.  What I love about this system is that it rewards me more for flying the "inferior" plane.  I want to employ a WWII fighter plane in air combat, using it's strengths and minimizing it's weaknesses against an enemy who does the same with his ride.  The concept of "fair" doesn't enter into it anywhere.  Somebody will always be outnumbered.  Somebody will always have alt.  Somebody will always run to ack.  Somebody will always have a "better" plane.  Nature of the beast, and pretty realistic too!  The only concern is that I don't want to see the arena completely over-run by any particular plane.  HTC must also balance the arena to some degree, so that folks don't log off, but if you try to make it "fair", you take away so much that it isn't fun anymore.  It's a fine line.

One way to introduce some of the higher performing late-war rides and avoid that, is the Perk system.  I think it's a great idea.  In six months when HTC have tweaked the system and you look at how many folks are playing online every night, we'll see if I'm right.

lep... by fair i mean everyone has the same choices.   what you do after that is the game.   Note the word GAME this is not "air combat"  anyone who thinks it is needs to be commited.   As for "earning" points I have over 500 of the things i believe all gotten in air to air in an inferior plane.... do i deserve a superior plane over say.... wobble?
Is it going to make for better or worse gameplay for me and evryone else if the next time I meet an inferior pilot i have an even greater advantage (didn't mean you here wobble).

your argument that it is a good way to introduce a few fantasy planes into the game is lame also.   To have a few fantasy planes in the game you unbalance the arena 100% of the time?   wouldn't it be better if we just allowed them for a day or so at the end and let anyone who wanted have one?

nope... still stuck with..... if you fly em your a jerk.

Actually I think perk rides should be available only at the most remote base per country.  That way you "earn" the the perk plane by flying it 1/2 way across the map.
Or, if your country is down to just a few bases, your dar is out, your being vulched, etc., then at least you can fly a hot plane.

Jayzus H Christo onna boogie board; woulda just listen to the belly-achin perkel howlin monsters bay in indignation and squabble over what the other indignant perkel trolls may or may not have... my god, whotta buncha brats we've all turned into....

Meanwhile at HTC, Pyro sees what's in the text buffer on the big cahuna's 21" and sez to HiTech.. "Go ahead. Post it. I dare yah."
