Well, after 230ish days, I get to come home for a couple of weeks. Won't be flying (no active account), but will be drinking (of course a nice single malt).  In fact, I have a cask strength 1994 Lagavulin waiting... mmm..  Anyway, here are a couple of pics for you...

Somewhere over southern Afghanistan.... how cool is the wing on a C-17?



Sunset over Kuwait/Persian Gulf, about a half hour out of Ali-al-Saleem



I have a few more cool, I will upload as bandwidth permits.  :salute

Late edit.. ISAF Joint Command HQ at Kabul, on an extremely rare clear air Kabul morning. I can count on my hand the number of times I have seem the stars at night in the last eight months.

Enjoy the family, Dirt. Hope our guys are doing you alright over there. Stationed with the 12th CAB now, got stuck on Rear D this time... That will never happen again. Almost enough to make a man drop his retirement. Seven court Martials and 36 chapters later.

Tom I have met a few of them. I doubt things are much better deployed. I am stuck in Kabul at the ijc headquarters. Thanks H for the offer.

Since it is Xmas we get to fly on the bigger plane. Only one stop and I will be able to replenish my Guinness paraphernalia
